Dezeen Showroom: British designer Benjamin Hubert and his studio Layer have created a task chair for flexible working named Velo, manufactured by Andreu World.

The Velo chair first task chair from the Spanish brand, and was designed to be responsive and ergonomic while also having a compact, minimal form that sits as comfortably in the home as it does at the office.

It features a weight-activated tilt mechanism that allows for easy movement throughout the day without the sitter having to make manual adjustments.

At the same time, depth adjustment for the seat and a range of armrest settings allows for precise customisation to fit different body types.

Lightweight and visually appealing with its monochrome detailing, the Velo chair is available either fully upholstered or with a mesh back for a modern look and added breathability.

The seat structure, backrest and base are made from Andreu World's Pure Eco thermopolymer, which is 100 per cent recycled and recyclable, moving the chair towards circularity.

The customisation options include a choice of 10 different coloured aluminium bases and dozens of upholstery fabrics.
