The 34th edition of the World Design Congress takes place at London's Barbican Centre in 2025, following the theme Design for Planet.

Hosted by the Design Council, the biannual event features a series of talks led by designers, business owners, researchers and other industry professionals, including architect Norman Foster, designer Thomas Heatherwick, climate activist Charlot Magayi, and designer and musician Brian Eno.

Other speakers include economists Marianna Mazzucato and Kate Raworth, architects Mariam Issoufou and Indy Johar, and designers Leyla Acaroglu, Leyland Maschmeyer and Anne Asensio.

The theme explores "planet-positive design", addressing different ways the industry can work towards mitigating the climate crisis through topics such as biodiversity, materiality, regenerative projects and zero-emission systems.
