AI for Everyday Life at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design
The AI for Everyday Life short course at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design introduces participants to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in real-world contexts.
School: Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design
Course: AI for Everyday Life at CIID's pop-up School
Location: Bergamo, Italy
Course dates: 28 April to 2 May 2025
Application deadline: 21 April 2025
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has leapt from sci-fi to the real-world with incredible speed. But sorting through AI's noisy, hype-filled landscape to find valuable use cases requires both a discerning eye and the creativity to imagine new approaches to familiar problems.
In this course, we'll design and prototype future products and services built around different shades of artificial intelligence. Participants are supported in developing concepts into prototypes, individually or in teams, culminating in a working demo to present on the final day.
Participants will experience the challenges of creating with other intelligences, gaining a solid understanding of AI fundamentals in the context of design and creativity. You'll encounter a variety of design tools and case studies to reference in future projects, along with AI-specific interaction design concepts, such as synthetic perception and post-human agents.
No previous knowledge is required, but some familiarity with an existing generative AI model (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) is advised.
AI for Everyday Life is part of CIID pop-up schools, which combine hands-on learning, prototyping and innovation, to bring transformative learning to people around the globe. Led by experts from CIID's extraordinary global community, these week-long courses welcome professionals and students of all backgrounds.
