Architecture for Education at Yacademy
The Architecture for Education course at Yacademy trains students in designing complex educational buildings and includes an internship or collaborative project with one of its partner studios.
The course is a project by Aresline, an Italian company specialised in the design and production of high-end seating for collective spaces. It provides students with a deeper understanding of the possibilities of architecture to influence society and cultural progress.
The workshop is tutored by an associate at BIG, Giulio Rigoni. It deals with the design of a school of excellence in Collodi – the town of Pinocchio – a symbol of the educational path of every individual and the need for continuous training. With a frequency of three days per week for two months, Architecture for Education hosts several teaching modules with the participation of numerous well-known professionals working at world-renowned companies, including David Chipperfield Architects Milan, SANAA, Zaha Hadid Architects, Herzog & de Meuron and MVRDV.
Believing that construction is a fundamental step in architecture, Yacademy offers its students the opportunity to participate in a construction workshop, gaining practical experience on construction sites, and the authorship of projects capable of defining a turning point in their professional career.
At the end of the teaching modules and workshops, Yacademy's placement office will guarantee every student an internship or collaboration proposal in one of its partner studios.
The course offers three scholarships with full coverage of the enrolment cost for the most deserving students. It is also possible to participate in the courses remotely.
