Auction house Lyon & Turnbull has partnered with the Glasgow School of Art to host Making a Mark: Collecting Contemporary Metalwork during London Design Festival 2025.

The exhibition spotlights silver and metalwork curated by librarian and art collector Helen Cargill Thompson and given to the school, highlighting the symbolism and craft associated with the material.

Artists and designers on display include Vicki Ambery-Smith and Rebecca Joselyn, Glasgow School of Art alumni Karen Wallace and Andrew Fleming, and tutors Jack Cunningham and Anna Gordon.

Making a Mark: Collecting Contemporary Metalwork takes place from 15 to 20 September 2025 at 22 Connaught Street, London W2 2AF, UK.
