Old New, New Old
Max Lam Designs has designed Old New, New Old, a dialogue between time and craftsmanship in contemporary furniture.
In this project, Max Lam Designs collaborated with wood studio TwentyOnefromEight to create the Old New, New Old furniture series, 100 per cent designed and crafted in Hong Kong.
The desk embodies heritage craftsmanship with intuitive features, including hidden drawers, 'tambour doors' with a sleek S-shaped handle and even a built-in tablet slot – ideal for home working.
Crafted in Walnut, this furniture balances heritage and contemporary need; it's where craft meets daily life.
This project is to design bespoke furniture to be placed at the centre of the house, combining function and aesthetic.
This project has been shortlisted in the bespoke and collectible design category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
