The Barcelona Creativity and Design Foundation presents an installation during Milan design week 2026, centred on two core ingredients in Mediterranean cooking, bread and olive oil.

The exhibition seeks to provide a sensory journey for visitors, using the ingredients as a metaphor for design processes and the Catalan design ecosystem.

The installation is curated by architecture studio Queralt Suau, with the participation of designers Andreu Carulla and Txema Salvans, with support from Barcelona City Council and the Generalitat de Catalunya-Acció y DHub.

Inspired in Barcelona: Materia Prima takes place from 20 to 26 April 2026 at Chiesa del Carmine, Salone Scalabrini, Via del Carmine 10, 20121 Milan, Italy.
