MA in Fashion Design at Vilnius Academy of Arts
The MA in Fashion Design course at Vilnius Academy of Arts encourages a research-driven approach to fashion, offering exhibition opportunities and insight from industry partners.
MA in Fashion Design is a research-based postgraduate programme focused on artistic research and interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary fashion design.
The programme develops fashion designers as researchers who explore fashion as a cultural, social and artistic field.
Students conduct an individual artistic research project that combines theoretical investigation with experimental design practice. The studies emphasise interdisciplinary thinking, sustainability, technological innovation and critical reflection on the role of fashion in contemporary society.
Throughout the two-year programme, students develop their individual research projects through studio practice, experimentation and close mentorship with lecturers working in fashion design, art and art history. The programme strongly supports independent work and the development of a personal creative methodology and design identity.
