Dezeen Competitions: Center Rog has launched Rog Creathon 2026: More Than Us, inviting young creatives to explore how design can move beyond a solely human-centred perspective.

Competition overview
Rog Creathon 2026: More Than Us is an intensive, 48-hour design sprint taking place at Center Rog in Ljubljana from 23 to 25 November 2026 as part of Rog Design Days.
Bringing together 25 selected participants aged 18 to 30 into five interdisciplinary teams, the sprint addresses key themes including high-end biomaterials, non-human park architecture, body-cosmos connections, and human-AI object relationships.
Throughout the programme, teams receive dedicated workspace, a material box, full access to Center Rog's nine production labs, and direct technical support from lab specialists.
The sprint culminates in prototype presentations to an expert jury during the Rog Expo opening, alongside opportunities to showcase results to an international audience.

Eligibility and judging criteria
The programme is open to creative individuals aged 18 to 30 from any discipline, including designers, makers, architects, engineers, artists and researchers. Applicants must submit an online form, a personal motivation statement, and a video presentation of up to three minutes.
The proposals will be judged on:
- Motivation: clear personal drive and interest in creative disciplines
- Communication: ability to communicate effectively in English
- Collaborative capacity: capability to contribute actively to hands-on design, prototyping and teamwork

The 48-hour design sprint will take place from 23 to 25 November 2026 at Center Rog in Ljubljana, with the winning team announced at the opening of Rog Expo on 25 November 2026.
