Modular seating gets a light and friendly expression in the Hub lounge system, designed by Francesco Rota for Italian furniture brand Lapalma.
The Hub system is made up of slender-framed, fully upholstered modules that can form seating configurations such as islands, serpentine space dividers and compact break-out areas.
As the name suggests, Hub was designed with the intent to connect people, activities and spaces and imagined as a point of convergence or exchange.
Its seating configurations shine in public areas where they can be used to shape space and circulation paths, and where they comfortably serve people looking for a spot to work, meet, wait or take a pause from their day.
The modules incorporate discreet integrated charging points under the seats, adding welcome everyday functionality without distracting from the clean lines and stylish appearance.
Backless modules allow for the incorporation of bench seating, and all segments are connected via an integrated linking system that allows for configurations to be modified or extended over time.
