He graduated with a journalism degree from London College of Communication. During his studies, Danil worked for University of the Arts London's newspaper Arts London News. He went on to work for music service Songkick, and then as a digital assistant for contemporary art gallery Eastside Projects in Birmingham, before joining Dezeen in 2016.
