Mischer'Traxler has created an artistic experience to nurture sensibility to the living world.

The project was created for French champagne house Perrier-Jouët, for Design Miami 2021. It seeks to explore the relationship between art and nature, is informed by Art Nouveau, characterised by its references to nature.

The installation sees users approach is if seeing themselves in a mirror. However, instead of their reflection, they are met with their silhouette composed of various species, evoking a cognitive sense of self-awareness that each of us is a part of nature. More than 100 global species are represented, all on the same scale to emphasise the equality of their roles in the ecosystem.

Embodied Nature considers the nature of all species, including mankind, as forming part of a whole, and invites reflection on the importance of understanding this interconnectedness.

This project has been longlisted in the installation design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
