Say Architects has designed the Levitated Curtain in Guangzhou, China.
This project was created as a multi-functional space for wedding ceremonies and related activities.
Levitated Curtain is the unique architecture situated inside the Ketianxia Conghua Resort in Guangzhou. Taking inspiration from traditional Chinese wedding ceremonies, say architects wanted to create a space where the "interior and exterior should be connected."
In China, weddings can start as early as 7am, although the ceremony only traditionally begins around 6pm, thus the chapel becomes a multi-functional space during the day before changing into a glorious evening space before sunset.
By combining the indoors with the outdoors, say architects have created an iconic piece of architecture that connects with the surrounding landscape, providing a special place for newlyweds and their nuptials.
