Ting Yu
Ting Yu is co-founder of Shanghai-based architecture studio Wutopia Lab.
Established in 2013, Wutopia Lab is informed by Shanghai's culture and lifestyle and tries to promote social progress.
Wutopia Lab achieved a merit in the Design For Asia Awards 2022 and an honourable mention in The Plan Awards 2022. The practice was also selected as a Design Vanguard by the Architectural Record in 2018, was included in the AD100 List in 2017, 2019 and 2021, won the 2020 IF Design Award and achieved Best Young Firm for the 2021 Architizer A+ Firm Awards.
Ting has received numerous accolades, among these the 2021 Lux Life Leading Designer Awards, a HD Wave of the Future honoree and the Ideal Future Awards designer of the year in 2019, he made the Frame Awards designer of the year shortlist in 2018 and was named Forbes China's architect with the most potential in 2015.
