刘涛和蔡春燕 | Tao Liu and Chunyan Cai
刘涛和蔡春燕于 2016 年在上海创立西涛设计工作室 (atelier tao+c)。
Shanghai-based architect Tao Liu and Chunyan Cai are the co-founders of studio Atelier Tao+C.
他们的设计实践跨越建筑、室内、产品和教学等多个领域。在项目实践之外，西涛同时专注旧建筑更新和居住空间的物体聚落等研究课题。
西涛设计工作成立四年以来，已设计建成了许多建筑室内项目，横跨不同设计领域，对全球范围内的设计新生范例和趋势有着自身独特的思索和回应。
西涛设计工作室被 AD 100 评选为中国一百位最具影响力的建筑和室内设计师，设计项目屡获加拿大 AZURE 设计大奖、美国Architizer A+ 设计大奖等。
西涛设计工作室近期的项目包括了将一座八十年代的别墅底层改造成了一个半公开的图书室，以及青龙坞言几又乡村胶囊旅社书店，这个项目也获得了2020 年 Dezeen Awards 设计大奖的室内设计年度项目。
The cross-discipline studio experiments work in architecture, interior, products and education, paralleled with the studio's continuous research on the restoration of old buildings and the domestic landscape in the living condition.
Liu and Cai weigh highly on discovering the beauty in everyday life, by employing the local materials and the unpolished technique to express our attitudes towards detailing and craftsmanship.
Their projects have been awarded by many international prizes, like AZURE Awards, Architizer A+ awards, World Architecture Festival awards among many others. The studio was also named The 100 Most Influential Architects and Interior Designers in China 2019 by ArchitectureDigest 100.
Atelier tao+c’s recent works includes a reading room for Whales Capital and Capsule hostel and bookstore, which won the Dezeen Awards 2020 interior project of the year.
