People's Park is a popular destination for Shenzhen residents to enjoy daily leisure and exercise, boasting beautiful natural scenery. The reconstruction project at the East Entrance's rich spatial forms has sparked curiosity and a desire for interaction among the citizens.
"Good accessibility, artistic design and safe lighting have made it a favoured spot in the park for citizens of all ages," said Reform.
The design addresses the site's height differences and circulation issues with innovative design language, while incorporating natural elements to create a poetic atmosphere.
Both primitive and futuristic, unique yet close to everyday life, this project has delivered results that exceed expectations within a limited budget.
This project has been shortlisted in the landscape and urban design category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
