Winner: Public project (sports, hospitality and entertainment) project of the year 2025. Moguang Studio has designed the Gingko Valley Treehouse in Guanjia Chong Valley, Hubei, China.
Just a 15-minute drive from the Ginkgo Valley Scenic Area, the treehouse site is situated at the intersection of two paths leading into the valley.

The relationship between the tree house's volume and the site is internalised through the alignment of windows and landscape elements, as well as the connection between the entrance and the site's layout, allowing for adjustments as needed.

This relationship carries an inherent ambiguity rather than relying on precise geometric forms such as the shape of the volumes or their axes.

"Through the movement of the body and the change of light, we crafted an extraordinary spatial experience: the square window frames the changing seasons, while the triangular window enhances the dynamic contrast between the slope outside and the staircase inside," said Moguang Studio.

"As night falls and the interior lights come on, the entire tree house resembles a spaceship nestled in the forest, waiting to take off."
