Commercially produced products including mobile phones, televisions, cameras, laptops, tablets, drones, gadgets, robotics, beauty equipment, toothbrushes, water bottles, sports and exercise equipment, luggage, medical devices, bicycles, cars, motorcycles and transport-related accessories, and bathroom products. Design Project of the Year
The winner of each of the above categories will automatically qualify for the chance to win overall design project of the year.

China Designers of the Year
China Designers of the Year awards will reward the best emerging and established talent in China across architecture, interiors and design. Workplace project
New-build, refurbished and retrofitted workplaces, offices or studios completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023. Includes laboratories, research buildings and office campuses.
Heritage project
Refurbishment, retrofit or extension of historic buildings completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023.
Hospitality project
New-build or refurbished projects completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023, including bars, restaurants and hotels.
Mixed-use project
New build, extended or refurbished mixed-use developments designed for at least two distinct uses such as residential, commercial or cultural, which can include landscape and urban design improvements, and completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023.
Architecture Project of the Year
The winner of each of the above categories will automatically qualify for the chance to win overall architecture project of the year. This category is sponsored by The Dalmore.
Residential project
New-build or significantly refurbished or extended residential projects, including houses, apartments and housing projects completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023.
Civic project
New-build or significant extension to and/or refurbishment of civic buildings, including civic centres, community buildings, council buildings, visitor centres, libraries, sports halls, swimming pools and leisure centres, or any building containing a significant public-facing facility and completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023.
Hotel and short-stay interior
Interiors that have been completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023. Includes hotels and guesthouses.
Workplace interior
Refurbished or retrofitted interior workplaces, offices, co-working spaces or studios that are completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023.
Retail interior
Refurbished or retrofitted interior retail spaces completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023.
Health and wellbeing interior
Interiors completed between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023, including doctors' and dentists' surgeries, medical centres, spas, nail salons, gyms, pharmacies and hair salons.
Interior Project of the Year
