Notion Studio and Fine Lumens have designed Mono, a portable reading lamp.

The Mono portable table lamp is jointly launched by Fine Lumens and Notion Studio, where the design is inspired by ancient Chinese figurines.

"The posture of the human-shaped pottery figurines is called zuoyi, which is a welcoming gesture that represents respect, kindness and humility," told Fine Lumens.

The designers intended to capture this attitude through simple geometric shapes, hoping that this lamp could bring more meaningful possibilities to the user's life.

The simple appearance combined with the 270-degree multi-angle rotating lamp head and the portable design allows Mono to be moved anywhere, indoors or outdoors.

This project has been shortlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
