Course: BASEhabitat postgraduate
Location: Linz, Austria
Course dates: March 2024 to September 2025
Application deadline: 15 October 2023

The postgraduate programme BASEhabitat is aimed at professionals and graduates in architecture who are looking for an educational context in which they can expand their skills and abilities in relation to social and ecological issues.

Combining theoretical knowledge and practical experience, the programme explores the practice of architecture in a different way by inviting professionals throughout the design process to join us and provide their expertise on working with materials and constructions methods.

The international learning environment is created by an globally renowned body of visiting professors, as well as BASEhabitat's teaching staff and students from around the world.

BASEhabitat's approach is centred on practical experiences led by professionals from various disciplines.

As today's construction activities are extremely resource intensive and harmful to the environment and our climate, special attention is given to natural building materials that have been at the heart of BASEhabitat for the past 15 years.

The programme is a one-and-a-half-year English language course that consists of three terms of full-time study, after which students receive a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture, BASEhabitat (MAS) from the University of Arts Linz.

Applications to this course have now closed.
