School: University of Ljubljana, Academy of Fine Arts and Design
Course: Green Nudge Summer School
Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia
Course dates: 7 to 11 July 2025
Application deadline: 1 June 2025

The Green Nudge Summer School invites students and professionals to explore how behavioural science and design can work together to inspire sustainable choices. Developed by four faculties at the University of Ljubljana, the programme draws from design, psychology, cognitive science and environmental science to introduce participants to the theory and practice of green nudging.

Over five days, participants will investigate how small, well-designed interventions – 'nudges' – can influence individual and collective behaviour toward more sustainable futures. The course blends academic insight with real-world application: from understanding the science of decision-making to prototyping nudges that encourage meaningful change in everyday life.

The programme is open to students (three ECTS available), public sector employees, professionals in business and NGOs, creatives and anyone interested in sustainability. Learning will be hands-on and collaborative, with workshops, fieldwork and expert-led sessions.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of behavioural design, practical skills for sustainable innovation and tools to become agents of change in their communities and organisations. All successful participants receive a certificate from the University of Ljubljana.

Applications to this course have now closed.
