This physical and virtual Design Academy Eindhoven exhibition features nine projects that explore sand as one of the most critical elements of our everyday life and an essential building block of modern civilisation.

Geo-Design: Sand is the third instalment of Design Academy Eindhoven's Geo-Design exhibition platform. The exhibition portrays some of the possible applications, materialities, geographies and economies of sand through nine research-based projects.

The event takes place at, and is a collaboration with, the Van Abbemuseum. The digital version of the exhibition will be presented as part of this year's Dutch Design Week.

Geo-Design: Sand takes place from 17 October until 15 November 2020 at Van Abbemuseum, Bilderdijklaan 10, 5611 NH Eindhoven, Netherlands.
