Festival of Place presents a two-week digital event of talks and workshops for city-shapers, placemakers, planners, developers, architects and investors.

Festival of Place is a season of digital inspiration and learning through online talks and workshops where local government and developers, designers and investors come together to better understand how to design and develop places where people thrive.

The online event includes keynote speeches, think-ins, masterclasses, case studies and placehacks, as well as a social lounge to question, challenge and learn.

The festival includes an exclusive masterclass with founder of non-profit organisation 8 80 Cities Gil Penalosa, who has advised 350 cities around the world on shaping post-Covid sustainable mobility, public spaces and streets for more liveable, equitable places.

Other highlights include an interview and lunchtime cooking session with Carolyn Steel, architect and author of Sitopia: How Food Can Save the World; a talk with author of The Feminist City Leslie Kern; and a talk on urban greening with Stefano Boeri, the architect behind vertical forest tower Bosco Verticale in Milan.

Festival of Place takes place between 2 to 13 November online.
