Contemporary Muslim Fashions is an exhibition that explores Muslim fashion and how Muslim women have influenced the design of clothes outside of their own communities.

The exhibition includes 80 garments pulled from emerging and established designers that cross couture, high-fashion, streetwear and sports clothing.

Alongside the physical exhibits, the exhibit also includes interviews, video and images from Muslim designers, artists and influencers that explore a new generation of creatives that centre their practice around inclusion, diversity and sustainability.

Contemporary Muslim Fashions takes place until 11 July 2021 at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, 2 E 91st St, New York, NY 10128, United States.
