The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) presents Architects of Liberation, exploring West African architecture between the 1950s and 1980s.

Examining projects developed during periods of political independence in the region, the showcase highlights buildings in Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo.

The exhibition features 450 objects, including models, drawings, models and photographs.

Architects of Liberation takes place from 5 July 2026 to 2 January 2026 at The Museum of Modern Art, 11 West 53rd Street, New York City, New York 10019, USA.
