The Persistence of Hand Drawing: Interior Rendering Today celebrates the dying art of hand-drawing in interior design and architecture in the face of digital rendering software.

The rapid advances of computer aided design (CAD) in recent years has caused a lull in architects and interior designers practicing hand-drawing and hand-rendering to create visualisations for their projects.

Curated by design historians Donald Albrecht and Thomas Mellins, the exhibition explores these themes through the spotlighting of hand-drawn works by 12 emerging and established New York-based interior designers and architects.

The Persistence of Hand Drawing: Interior Rendering Today takes place from 19 September 2024 to 3 April 2025 at NYSID Gallery, 170 East 70th Street, New York, NY, 10021, United States.
