Cultural programme Arcadia and the Fries Museum are hosting Veenweide Atelier: Design for a Sunken Marsh, an exhibition exploring changing landscapes in the Friesland province of the Netherlands.

The exhibition features the research project Veenweide Atelier by Henriëtte Waal, which proposes new art, design and architectural visions for the peat meadow area.

Three case studies are outlined in the exhibition, including plans for a new farmhouse, bacteria-based dye for textiles and furniture made from wet crops grown on the land.
