Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2025 Bentley Lighthouse Award, Henriëtte Waal is a designer, co-founder of biodesign lab Atelier Luma and artistic director of the Veenweide Atelier project.

The project sees new regenerative strategies for peat meadows in Friesland, the Netherlands, supporting the area's local farmers and wildlife.

The project's findings are on display at the Veenweide Atelier: Design for a Sunken Marsh exhibition at the Fries Museum.

Henriëtte Waal is shortlisted in the Bentley Lighthouse Award category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
