A news device created by researcher, designer and engineer Valerie Chua Yan Tong is on display during the 2026 edition of Milan design week.

With the text-only device, titled Dust Media, Chua Yan Tong seeks to create tactile and low-stimulation engagement with the news, which she refers to as "minimal media".

The designer, who explores positive means of computing, is based in London at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art.

Dust Media at Milan design week takes place from 20 to 26 April 2026 at ZonaK, Via Spalato 11, 20124, Milan, Italy.
