German furniture brand Richard Lampert presents an installation during the 2026 edition of Milan design week, reintroducing a z-shaped chair originally designed by Ernst Moeckl.

The exhibition aims to highlight the historical significance of the furniture piece, which served as an everyday object across East and West Germany, as well as its relevance today.

The installation, made in collaboration with Haus Otto, is assembled inside the historic Porta Venezia District.

The event also features a talk with design historian Thomas Edelmann between 4:00pm and 5:00pm on 20 April.

Some Things Deserve a Comeback – Z.Stuhl by Richard Lampert takes place from 20 to 25 April 2026 at Design Republic, Piazza del Tricolore 2, 20129 Milan, Italy.
