Amsterdam-based studio Front partners with building materials supplier Biomason to showcase a biomimicry and biotechnology-focused exhibition at design fair Material Matters during London Design Festival 2026.

The showcase demonstrates the brands' facades, flooring, wall cladding and roofing materials that incorporate biocement technology, suitable for architects, designers and specifiers.

The project includes the coral-inspired Mimmik floor and wall tile, created using bacteria to bind carbon and calcium to build a marble-like material.
