Dates
Milan design week returns to its usual spot in April, having taken place in September in 2021 and June in 2022 due to disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This year, the festival runs from 17 to 23 April 2023.
Salone del Mobile
The largest event taking place at Milan design week is Salone del Mobile, located at Fiera Milano exhibition centre from 18 to 23 April 2023.
The furniture fair welcomes more than 370,000 visitors and presents thousands of brands showcasing furniture, lighting, electrical appliances, kitchen, bathroom, outdoor and workspace products.
Fuorisalone
Alongside the world's largest furniture fair, a variety of fringe events take place during the week, collectively known as fuorisalone. These events include installations, exhibitions and talks.

Many districts across the city take part in the festival, hosting a variety of fringe events, including:

The Brera Design District is located in central Milan, and is one of the largest in the city.
