The architect was Professor of Urbanism at the School of Architecture of Barcelona and his most famous works include the Moll de la Fusta seafront promenade in Barcelona.

Dezeen Wire: a series of summer camps are to take place this year at Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Fallingwater house in Pennsylvania to teach skills in architectural problem-solving to high-school pupils and school-leavers hoping to study architecture at university.
Led by architects, the seven-day-long camps will involve drawing and model-making workshops, as well as lessons in Wright's principles for architecture. More details on the Fallingwater website.

Dezeen Wire: Alex Maclean and Caroline Matthews, formerly co-founder and MD of acclaimed design firm Airside, have announced the launch of their new studio, to be called Rupert Ray.
Airside are to close next month - more details in our earlier Dezeen Wire story.
The new company will open in April working on branding, graphic design, illustration, animation and live action in London. Dezeen Wire: American musician Moby has started a personal blog documenting architecture in Los Angeles. The artist says it's "a daily (or weekly) collection of some of the random and strange and banal and beautiful architecture I see" - see it for yourself here.
Other musicians interested in architecture and design include Ice Cube, who was filmed explaining how architects Charles and Ray Eames inspire him, and Kanye West, who announced plans to launch a design collaborative earlier this year.
