Here’s some text from Moooi:

Delft Blue vases

Marcel Wanders designed a collection of ceramic vases for Moooi. All vases are produced at “Royal Delft”. This is a Dutch company dating back to 1653 and the original producer of the infamous Delft Blue ceramic. The vases are reinterpreting and revitalising Delft Blue, an old Dutch craft, using new ideas for shapes and decoration.

Well… as a concept and concerning that Marcel Wanders is from the Netherlands I guess its ok but besides that its nothing excitting and new. The minute Delfts he did previously for his personal editions are a great concept but these pieces are nothing to me. As objects though (detailing etc) they are great as I saw them in Milan during the salone del mobile.

The first and the third of these vases look very much like Norman Trapman’s. Not very original!
