The tube is bent into a chair profile which is repeated along the length of the bench.

“We designed a long chair and donated it to celebrate the completion of Centurial Memorial Building of Nippon Institute Of Technology,” says Nagasaka.

“This chair is made of one seamless steel pipe which draws the section shape of chair. Other steel pipes also draw various ways to sit.”

As long as you chain up your bike somewhere near the center, you will have plenty of time to come out and catch the crook winding his way toward an end.

  2. edward Says:

I’d rather see more of the Centurial Memorial building than this throwaway piece.

the greatest weakness of an avant-gardist is the way an object ” feels ” . yes schemata, it looks good, what then?

it would be better if you clad the portion of the pipe that hits the human skin with —->>>>

“12mm thk. teak wood in silver wood stain finish by sadolin, mega epoxy-bonded, smooth-sanded”

im so frustrated with this, yes michael youre correct, it really looks like a bike bollard. haaayyy saan ka pa?

  10. zuy Says:

conceptual work is often near art, near sculpture, near performance it’s always uncomfortable… because it’s more to be seen on media or in fair or in Christie’s , Arcurial aso than to be really used…

  11. zuy Says:

The young mexican designer Joel Escalona used the same unllimited tube concept and also “an unknown dutch designer from Einhoven “(i joke) for Droog in last Milan fair
