Danish design studio Claydies have created Claydies and Gentlemen, a collection of hand-modelled stoneware bowls based on hairstyles.

Each bowl has unique shape and colour, inspired by a particular hairstyle.

Photographs 1-13 (with upside-down models) by Lars Gundersen.
Photographs 14-33 by Morganmorell.

Here is some information from Claydies:
–
Tine Broksoe and Karen Kjaeldgaard-Larsen are two Danish ceramists/designers who together established Claydies.

Claydies and gentlemen consists of a series/range of hand modelled stoneware bowls, which all are made with hair styles as inspiration.

The bowls all have different personalities and change character whether you place them on the table or carry them on your head.

Fantastic ! They remind me of the work of Arne Bang.
Gosh I hate black and white pictures like this. They make projects look so old and dated. Looks like I’m looking for an already dated 1983 stuff…….. get rid of that.
she’s hot
Wonderful
I was a bit skeptical about the premise of the design, but all in all, very nice work. Every piece is exeptional!
Now on to more important things, like who is the model? She’s HOT!
this is sooo fun!
I love them!
very very nice.
funky&groovy!
Cute…
They look better without the heads…and by better, I mean fabulous!
You really think she is hot? :|
Gives the expression “bowl cut” new dimension. Lovely stuff, when does the millinery begin?
brilliant concept and lovely bowls!
They look like they might keep your head cool for a short while too. Maybe people with anger management issues could keep one in the freezer for when they need to cool down.
i’m surpised to see so many positive reactions. To me this is a rather kitchy project. I mean, bowls and hair cuts? Am I missing the important link here?
ha ha ha…lots of fun…n fresh…
as It’s said, the concept of the graphic campain is awesome.. and how has It been expressed.
That’s a very interesting concept to get some shapes for bowls. Some of them are very well done!
But somehow I thing the last two pictures are needless, they seem to show that particular hairstyles became bowls and then bowls try to became particular hairstyles…
playful concept
Good Idea of presenting simple bowls, with nice ladies.
Some great bowls there, I love the quiff, although not all of them seem recognizable as based on hair dos to me.
I get the feeling the concept was born as a hit back at some awful childhood bowl hair cut
Love it! . Creative and well presented. Great workmanship
Why didn’t I think of it first!
