House in Fukuyama
The house in Fukuyama is standing at rising of a brae where it has a panoramic view of Fukuyama city.

The client wanted their house to open to the great view of the city, and on the same time, to close from surroundings for privacy.

For the two opposite requests, we designed the house considering a form of the site and its material use.

Because the site was placed at lower level of a street, all rooms were put at the level to block neighbors eyes, and at the opposite side, it is fully open to the Fukuyama city.

At the open side, living room and dining room is placed, and they have same finishes as exterior walls.

For rooms that are for private like a bathroom, they have more clean and smooth finishes.

Because of the differences of the site uses and material finishes, there are more varieties of atmosphere inside.

Moreover, through the same finish walls with outside, trees in a mountain and a courtyard are reflected to the inside. The shadows of the trees connect inside and outside more closely and open as if the interior is a part of the hill.

We hope the house is creating space that has well harmonize between privacy and open in reconsidering the condition of the site and the meaning of material of architecture.

Very clever.
I'm generally not a fan of poured concrete as an interior finish but I
could live here.
Suppose is embracing glass and I am thrilled.
love that entrance / parking / viewpoint … nice job
I like the design but the choice of materials is a little too bold… I've always found concrete residences anything but comforting…
Sweet handrail!!!
First project i actually like from suppose office, it s nice to not have the strange combinations of wood ruining their designs
To understand it better, I would like to watch the project's plans & a photo of the bedrooms as well.
I like the transition amoung public to private space through texture $ materials coming from the stairs.
The concrete finishes are mastered at the public space, too.
The bathroom interiors looks great with the reflective shelves.
indeed a great panoramic view to be exploited.
The view of the facede from the hill looks really nice.
good job!!
What I like in this project the choosing of the materials concrete with glass. This house is close from surrounding for privacy which its good point in the project for our country. The most thing I like the interfere in the walls from outside to inside
This design catch me in the issue of glazing and privacy the architect used a great distributing method to achieve that , and the choice of material for me was so nice first of all it break the sense of repetition and gave transparency and glowing affect in other spaces , nice house
what an amazing spacing in the design , it is really designed well
I liked the glazed areas and the whole privacy idea for the rooms area . in addition the kind of materials broke the rhythm in some places and changed the lighting in other places
I like the entrance. Great, isn`t it?
Structurally speaking it is interesting, but it ends there for me. The interior is really lacking imagination. Great location though, cheers!
I love polished concrete. Make me feel at home.
