Libeskind rails at architects who build "gleaming towers for despots"

Daniel Libeskind (above) was in the news for railing against architects who build "gleaming towers for despots" and we showed a selection of Libeskind's architectural drawings to be exhibited in Rome this month.

Meanwhile Philippe Starck unveiled a bicycle crossed with a scooter (above) and Zaha Hadid released renders of a cinema seat she's been working on.

We also showed Snøhetta's scheme for a visitor complex at the Paleolithic cave paintings in Lascaux, France (above) and David Chipperfield's completed new gallery building at the Saint Louis Art Museum in Missouri.

London firm FAT raised hackles with their pile of building typologies (above) while the studio's co-founder Sam Jacob launched an attack on the "tyranny of fun" in office design for Dezeen's latest Opinion column.
