Both the coffee table and bowl are made up of two geometric shapes – a cuboid that forms the base and a half-sphere that creates the top.
Described by the brand as "playful and brutalist", the ceramic pieces are available in blue, grey, rose and yellow colours. The table comes in three sizes, while the bowl comes in small and large.
For the brand's Spring Summer 2017 collection, Herkner has also expanded on his existing Font collection – adding three glass ceramic coffee tables.
The Oda collection, made up of handblown glass lamps propped upon delicate steel frames, has also received an update with a new aubergine-coloured version.
Pulpo's new collection launched at Maison&Objet, which began in Paris on 20 January and continues until 24 January.
Also launching at the fair is a collection of reimagined kitchen tools by Alain Gilles and a coffee table based on the "restraint and detailing" of a bentwood box associated with Shaker folklife.
Herkner, born in 1981, previously designed a range of oval-shaped bathroom products for Italian brand Ex.t and seats made from thick metal tubes for Italian furniture brand Moroso.
