Paying tribute to Ercol's chair-making heritage, the contemporary collection references classic furniture designs from the company's 97-year archive. Each piece features a traditionally crafted steam-bent wood frame.
The first addition to the collection is a leather version of the Marino chair, which has an accompanying footstool.
The chair features a solid ash frame with a curved back and sloping arms, while its new leather upholstery is available in three colour options, including tan.
The brand will also launch a three-seat version of the Marino sofa. It comes in numerous wood and paint finishes, offering customers the chance to tailor the seating to match the interiors of their homes or offices.
Ercol is showcasing the updated Marino range at the Salone del Mobile fair in Milan from 4 to 9 April, along with a variety of other new and updated products.
These will include the ergonomically designed Lara collection, featuring a stacking chair and bar stool, and the Luca table, a solid ash piece that can be easily stacked, thanks to its linear cross design.
The functional nature of both collections makes them ideal for small spaces, or for cafes and restaurants.
The furniture brand will also unveil its new Modulo collection of modular cabinets, made from solid white oak. Featuring dovetail joints and naturally textured doors and drawers, the design is available in three finishes: natural oak, chestnut or black.
Other products on display will be the extendable Ponte dining table with complementing Forma chair made from solid oak, as well as a new version of the Original Stacking Chair in a Forest Green lacquer finish.
Ercol's products can be found at Hall 7 Stand H21 during Milan design week 2017 from 4 to 9 April 2017.
