British architect and planner Terry Farrell discussed city-making during this lecture at the World Architecture Festival 2017 in Berlin.
Terry Farrell is the principal of architectural firm Farrells. Among Farells' most recent work is an outdoor swimming pool with a shell-shaped roof in Hong Kong and a proposal for a set of six new bridges on London's River Thames.
A self-professed postmodernist, Farrell is the architect of one of the movement's most recognisable buildings – the TV AM television studios in London's Kentish Town. He has been outspoken about redevelopment schemes afoot in the capital, criticising Renzo Piano's "piecemeal, opportunistic" proposal for a skyscraper in Paddington.
Dezeen was media partner for World Architecture Festival 2017, which this year took place in Berlin in conjunction with the Inside festival of interior design.
