Virtual Design Festival

The schedule for week nine of Virtual Design Festival

Ini Archibong, Fornasetti, Teresa van Dongen and a virtual tour feature at VDF this week

Week nine of Virtual Design Festival opens with a virtual-reality tour with architect Arthur Mamou-Mani, who will show us around VR versions of his Catharsis and Galaxia buildings created for the Burning Man festival.

The tour, taking place today, will follow a live interview between Mamou-Mani and Dezeen founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs.

Also on Monday, we celebrate World Oceans Day with an interview with Cyrill Gutsch, founder of Parley for the Oceans, an environmental organisation that campaigns to protect marine environments.

Rod White, chief designer of Philips TV & Sound, joins VDF for a conversation on Tuesday when we'll also screen a live interview with architect Ini Archibong as part of our Screentime series, sponsored by Philips TV & Sound.

In the schedule for mid-week are interviews with Italian brand Fornasetti and Dutch designer Teresa van Dongen, who uses living organisms and bacteria to generate electricity, as well as a live stream of hospitality awards programme AHEAD's Americas Awards ceremony.

We end the week with a talk and performance from Japanese designer and sound artist Yuri Suzuki and a live Screentime interview with Canadian architects Partisans, sponsored by Enscape.
