Competition: win a RS2 football table by RS Barcelona

For Dezeen's latest competition, we've teamed up with the design brand RS Barcelona to give readers the chance to win one of its signature RS2 football tables.

This competition is now closed.

The RS2 model by RS Barcelona is intended to be an aesthetically pleasing take on the traditional football table. Its sleek, industrial form means that it can be included in a range of settings, including homes, offices, and hospitality buildings.

"Our goal was to take the football table out of the garage and move it into the spaces where we do our living," explained Rafael Rodríguez, RS Barcelona's CEO and the designer of the table.

"We aimed for it to speak the language of design, dialogue with the furniture and seduce in any environment."

The RS2 football table is almost completely customisable

The competition, which is being held to mark the brand's 15th anniversary, will see one winner receive a signature RS2 football table.

The table is made from steel and coated with polyester paint. The winner can choose between six colours including white, black, light grey, red, blue, and green. There is also the option of having an Inox stainless steel finish that makes the table more suitable for outdoor use.

Four drink holders have also conveniently been built into the corners of the table.

All other elements of the RS2 can be easily customised. The players, which are each carefully hand-painted, can be made in various skin tones and with different-coloured kits.

The winner will also be able to decide whether the lower half of the figurines are joined together or have two separated feet and if they want male, female or mixed teams.

The tables are suited to home, office or hospitality settings

RS Barcelona was established in 1975 by Rafael Rodríguez Castillo. It started life as a small metalworking business that manufactured for other companies, but Castillo and his two sons eventually decided to make their own product – the RS2 football table.

In 2006, the table landed a spot in the display window of a prominent design store in Barcelona, propelling the brand to large-scale success. RS Barcelona now makes a diverse range of items including ping pong tables, pool tables, and chairs.

Competition closes on 6 December. One winner will be selected at random and notified by email.
