Dezeen Showroom: circular wall mounts with a glass shelf that appears to balance on top characterise the Opal bathroom shelf, designed by Dutch brand Geesa.

The shelf is part of Geesa's Opal collection, a series of bathroom accessories designed to look both playful and luxurious.

The 60-centimetre long glass shelf sits atop metal bars that are connected to two wall mounts. Two chrome circles conceal the wall fixings beneath, creating a luxurious appearance.

"The beautiful chrome colour is refreshing and of high quality," said Geesa.

The circular detail is also available in brushed stainless steel, black, brushed gold and brushed metal black finishes.

Geesa's Opal collection combines elementary round and rectangular shapes, which the brand describes as going "back to basics".

"Thanks to its timeless look, Geesa Opal can be perfectly combined with other bathroom colours and styles," said the brand.

The collection also includes toilet roll holders, soap dispensers, towel hooks and bathroom shelves.
