Dezeen Showroom: Danish-Italian design studio GamFratesi has created an unusual folded structure out of aluminium to form the legs of the Homey table, for Italian brand Poltrona Frau.

The Homey table's base is made of die-cast aluminium, folded together at the legs to draw a flowing, shadowy line to the floor.

Homey is available in four sizes, and both rectangular and square shapes

"The quintessence of Homey is expressed in its die-cast aluminium legs," said Poltrona Frau. "In a sculptural play reminiscent of haute couture, the two-leg flaps fold and join together without touching, creating a chiaroscuro effect in the centre."

The base can be paired with either a wooden or marble top, with a slender profile that adds to Homey's light and graphic appearance.

Homey is available in four sizes, and rectangular and square shapes.

Its name is a reference to its intended environment, as it is intended to create a central spot for coming together in the home.
