Solanas outdoor furniture collection by Daniel Germani for Gandia Blasco

Dezeen Showroom: Spanish brand Gandia Blasco has added new pieces to its Solanas collection of outdoor furniture created by Argentinian architect and designer Daniel Germani.

Named after the Uruguayan beach where Germani spent his childhood summers, Solanas by Gandia Blasco is designed for entertaining in coastal locations.

Seven pieces in curving aluminium have been introduced to the collection that was first launched at the furniture fair Salone del Mobile in 2018.

They include a three-seater sofa and a conversation chair, intended by Germani to evoke a sense of intimacy.

An aluminium sheet partition wall that puts a contemporary twist on the more classic wooden styles has also been added, allowing for outdoor spaces to be easily reconfigured.

New single-leg tables, available in a higher and a shorter version, are made from durable thermo-lacquered aluminium with a natural-stone-effect tabletop.

The tables use Dekton, an ultra-resistant surface material manufactured by Cosentino that is made from a mixture of the raw materials used to manufacture glass, porcelain materials and quartz.
