Slatted Tea Cart by Smilow Design

Dezeen Showroom: design studio Smilow Design has rereleased a classic of mid-century American design, the Slatted Tea Cart, which can be used to serve drinks or as a side table.

Originally designed by Mel Smilow in 1950, the Slatted Tea Cart is a two-level rolling cart known for its solid walnut wood slats and fine joinery details.

The petite hard rubber wheels and brass casters are a further timeless feature of the piece, which is made in the USA.

"The simplistic beauty, fine craftsmanship, and exceptional detail is present from every angle," said Suite NY, the retailer for the Slatted Tea Cart.
