Dezeen Showroom: office furniture brand Herman Miller has collaborated with design group Studio 7.5 to create the Zeph Chair, a colourful office chair that incorporates mid-century furniture design with modern ergonomics.

Informed by the iconic Eames Shell Chair, Zeph Chair has a slim, sculpted mono-shell seat that reclines to suit the user's posture.

"Under the seat lies hidden technology designed to deliver a seamless ergonomic experience that leverages human-centred motion," said Herman Miller.

"This allows Zeph to create a natural, fluid motion that works for all body types."

The chair is available in a playful array of eight bold colours and users have the option to customise the chair in upholstery, either with a seat pad or a fabric piece that covers the entire front of the shell.

"The chair is an elegant, customisable and colourful addition to Herman Miller's market-leading portfolio of high-performance seating," said the president of Herman Miller, Ben Watson.

Designed for home and workplace environments, Herman Miller describes Zeph Chair as being "as aesthetically pleasing as it is purposeful".
