The Grand Gehry

Dezeen Debate newsletter features Frank Gehry's The Grand skyscrapers

The latest edition of Dezeen Debate features a pair of skyscrapers designed by Frank GehrySubscribe to Dezeen Debate now.

Gehry's The Grand skyscrapers have opened across the street from the architect's famous Walt Disney Concert Hall. The complex in downtown Los Angeles features residences, retail spaces and a hotel.

Both of the towers feature unique L-shaped profiles with cubic sides that are stacked and staggered as they reach their full heights.

However, commenters feel underwhelmed. One commenter referred to Gehry as the "Joe Biden of architecture".
