Dezeen Showroom:  Swedish brand Bolon has expanded its Artisan collection of woven flooring to include 10 new "vibrating, energetic and alert" colours.

The Artisan collection is made in Sweden and is available as a roll or in different sizes of floor tiles.

The flooring collection is designed to be mixed and matched to create playful flooring designs.

"Artisan is a lively, expressive collection and we want to highlight those characteristics with colours that provide more combination possibilities both within the collection and with other items in Bolon's product portfolio," said Cathrine Ahlenius, head of research and design at Bolon.

Among the new colours is "an active orangey colour" named Play, a "softening" warm-toned green named Wild, and a near-black colour named Ink that, according to Bolon, "becomes either sharp or silky when combined with other colours".

Bolon designed the woven flooring to be easy to maintain and high-performance.
